Similarly to pets in real life, if you don't pet or feed Sommie during the battles that follow, your bond will deteriorate. Unlike most other characters, the bond level between you two will not remain fully charged once you've leveled it up. However, there is one small aspect to note when befriending and bonding with Sommie. To increase your bond level with Sommie, be sure to pet and feed it regularly as it goes down over time. When using this method, it should take no more than roughly seven battles to max out your bond with Sommie and have it accompany you as you make your way around Somniel. To strengthen your bond with Sommie, as we've mentioned before, all you'll need to do is pet them and feed them any of your collected ingredients once between battles or whenever you can. Fire Emblem Engage - How to Increase Your Sommie Bond Quickly You can also use them to increase your bond level with Sommie itself, which results in the cute animal following you around Somniel and even helping you with fishing and flying mini-games. To get rewards from Sommie, simply interact with it between battles by petting or feeding it, and you'll receive a Bond Fragment that can increase your bind level with your Emblems. Once your new companion has a name, you can then customize Sommie's outfit by changing its headgear and back, adding things like wings, bows, and even a short wig that matches your character's hair, making it even more adorable. However, you can only do this once, so make your decision wisely. You'll be able to change its canonical name of Sommie to whatever else you like as soon as you meet it. To get rewards from Sommie, simply interact with it in between battles and you'll get Bond Fragments as a reward. Inside, you'll find Sommie sitting on Altar. To find Sommie, simply follow the path around the outside until you reach the entrance to the small cavern, which is located on the altar facing the water.
